Henry Harrison Madill
Founder | Architect

Mr. Henry Harrison Madill was born in Beaverton, Ontario.  Moved to Toronto with his family.

He was a member of the Queen's Own Rifles.

Served in World Wars I and II instructing offficers.

He graduated with a Science degree from the School of Architecture at University of Toronto.

Founder, Craig and Madill Architects in 1910.

He became the head of the Architecture Department at the University of Toronto.

Mr. Madill taught in the School of Architecture Department at U of T for 23 years, retiring in 1957 at the age of 68.

Projects Worked on:

- Palace Pier

- The Band Stand at the Toronto Exhibition Grounds

- Beaverton Public School

- Beaverton Post Office

- Hastings County Home for the Aged in Belleville

- Windsor Court Apartments

- Pembroke Collegiate

- Earl Haig Collegiate and others.

Mr. Madill lived in Toronto in good health to the age of 97 years.
